Update time

Wow.  It's been almost 5 months since I wrote on here and I think one is long overdo.

So our first update is my life in the theatre.  As of the last post, I was preparing for my role as Joseph in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."  I absolutely loved that role and can now mark it off my list of roles I would like to perform in my career.  After that, I directed "Steel Magnolias" and had an absolute blast.  After I said that I was going to take a break from the theatre to spend time with my new family(more on that later), I was brought back to play the part of Pirelli in "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street."  I am having a blast with the role because of the accents I have to do.  After Sweeney Todd is over, I will be the lead in "I Hate Hamlet."  We had our first read-through today and it was funny as hell and will be an amazing show.

Now, onto the family.  Samantha and I are doing just fine.  On September 27, we welcomed Makenna Lavon Shewell into the world.  She had a rocky start which included three days in North Kansas City Hospital's NICU but she is doing better.  Sam has determined that she HATES the month of October.  She spent more time in the hospital in October than anywhere else.  But, she finally got her gall bladder taken out and is doing so much better.  Her sister, Leigh, visited for the weekend and then a week later, her mom spent a week out here.  She didn't know her mom was coming out and so we surprised her and it WORKED!!!!!!!!

Other than that, we are getting ready for our first Thanksgiving and Christmas as a family and if anybody who reads this feels inclined, I would REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE an XBOX 360 for Christmas.........just saying.

Until then, Happy Holidays and Everybody be happy, healthy, and safe

Marriage Part One

Today is June 17th, 2012.

Yesterday Samantha and I gave our marriage vows and it's official.  We are now an old married couple.

After the ceremony, we indulged in some good old fashioned fun at the reception....except the part of shoving wedding cake into each other's face.  My tux was a rental and I was definitely not taking the chance of having my wife(kinda weird to say, but I can get used to it) mad at me for getting cake on her absolutely beautiful dress.

My best man decided that he was not going to give a speech so I opted for my other groomsman, my dad, to give it.  After some excellent ribbing at Josh's(best man) and mine's expense, he closed out by welcoming Sam to our family and wishing us luck.

Then came the first dance.  Clint Black's "When I say I Do."  I enjoyed it and was glad to know that Sam and I could joke with each other and our families while dancing and it didn't have to be so serious cause God knows that that is all the past couple weeks have been.

Then another surprise, it was MY turn to give a speech and this could be my ego talking but I thought I did a damn good job...lol.  After that, my parents, who had celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary just 4 days prior, got their own dance.

Everyone kept telling me that I needed to get my new wife a wedding gift and I didn't have the money, so I did the next best thing.  I sang to her.

All my aunts were wanting to hear my brother, Keegan, sing and he sang his solo from "Bridge Over Troubled Water," with my brother Brian and myself as backup singers.

Then it was time for Sam and I to leave.  We traveled to the Inn at Crescent Lake, a fabulous bed and breakfast and just spent the night enjoying one another's company.

Now it is the morning and we will be traveling to Warrensburg today for a semi family reunion on her family's side and I am excited to meet some new members of our family.

There are so many people that I would like to take this opportunity to thank.

Josh-We've been best friends for 15 years.  We've had our ups(almost attacking a water heater with a plastic baseball bat) and we've had our downs(freshman year of college....enough said) but through it all, we stuck it out and I couldn't have asked for someone better to be my best man.

Derek- We've been best friends for 7 years and I know that no matter what, I can count on you to make life just a little more interesting whenever I need it.

Barbie- Better late than never lol

Karen-Thank you so much for taking pictures of our wedding.  It meant a lot to Sam and I for you to be there.

Kate- You're my sister and I love you.  I'm sorry you couldn't be there with us yesterday but I understand the reasoning and I wish Garrett and very happy first Father's Day.  Thank you so much for the phone call wishing me luck.  It helped calm a little bit of the nervousness I had going on.

Sylvia and Joe- Thank you for being there to give your daughter away to me in marriage.  I agree with Joe when he said that now that Sam has said I do....she is now my problem.  lol

Brian- Thank you so much for singing in our wedding.  Your renditions of "Everything" and "I Will Be There" were absolutely wonderful.  I love you buddy.

Keegan- Thank you for being an usher and for singing at the reception.  It was wonderful to hear all 3 Shewell brothers be able to tolerate each other long enough to sing for a minute and a half.  I love you.

Mom and Dad- What can I say?  We did it.  I know at times I didn't help as much as I wanted to and for that I apologize but I am so thankful for everything you guys did to make sure Sam and I had a very special day.  I love you both and I can't express in words how thankful Sam and I are for everything you did.

Peter- You did an awesome job as ring bearer for the wedding.

Alayna- You were a wonderful and beautiful flower girl.

Leigh- Thanks for being there as maid of honor.  It has been a fun few days and I hate to see ya go.

Katrina- I didn't know you when we first met on Friday but in the past couple of days I have found you to be a wonderful friend.

All our friends and family- It was wonderful seeing everyone at the wedding.  Thank you so much for being there.

Wayne- Thank you so much for presiding over the ceremony.  I couldn't have picked a better person to marry Sam and I.  You were absolutely wonderful.

Slightly Off Broadway Players- Thank you so much for allowing us to rent out the theatre for our wedding.

That being said.....this is the beginning of the rest of our lives and I can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead.  For everyone that is traveling please be safe.

Descent Into Hell: The Final Straw

Well it's finally here. The final part of the Descent Into Hell series. I have enjoyed being able to let my readers know what happened and I enjoy writing so much that I am thinking of doing a couple of things with this blog.

1.) Write a story in different parts for the readers
2.) Do another series of something else that has happened in my life.

There is one story I would love to do but with respect to the other party, I will make sure they are ok with it before continuing.

Now onto Descent Into Hell: The Final Straw.

Where I left off was that Kisha and I had had a going away party before leaving for Texas.

After finishing packing and Kisha and her mom kinda making up......(her mom didn't say shit to me. Probably because of what I yelled at her for the night before and because what I said was the truth), we left for Texas.

We drove all through the night to finally make it to Corpus Christi and get to her dad's ONE bedroom condo. He was happy to see us....at that point.

Everything was great for the first week. I continued to put in job applications while Kisha started working at a bikini bar. I had yet to hear from any jobs and that's when the shit hit the fan with her dad.

After the first week, he would take it upon himself to degrade me every day about how much he hated me because it didn't look like I was trying to find a job. He called me a mouch and said that I was using Kisha and that I was a user. The degrading stung but at first I let it go in one ear and out the other.

Two weeks after the move, the degrading continued to the point that he no longer waited til Kisha wasn't around to degrade me. Instead he would say it while she was in the room and all she would say is "Sorry Dad." HUH??????? It's nice to know that the woman who I was engaged to and was going to marry couldn't even defend me against her father.

Three weeks in, we finally found a duplex that we could move into....maybe. At this point Kisha was working on getting the final preparations to start her new job at JP Industrial which was an oil rig kind of job. We met this sweet lady named Betty who was moving out of the duplex into a bigger house because her daughter had moved in with her. Kisha and I spent a lot of time helping her move.

Now it was still going on that we were staying at her dad's house and I never got any time alone for me. Here's an example......the second night we were in Corpus, Kisha went out to "meet up" with a friend that I had met and knew. They went to go get some dessert. She told me that because she was going out that night, that I could go out to a poker tournament the next night. As I'm getting ready to leave, Kisha says she would drive me and then come pick me up. As we are leaving, she asks her dad to watch her son for a few minutes and her dad offered to watch him all night so Kisha could go. Instead of Kisha saying no thanks that she had promised I could have some time alone, she went with me.....

Back to the present, we didn't get the duplex but instead moved in for a bit with Betty because she and her daughter had had a falling out. We didn't pay any rent and once again I was watching her son most of the time because Kisha had started training at her new job during the day. The only reprieve I got was Betty would watch Dakota some nights so Kisha and I could go out.

After a few weeks, Betty was leaving to move in with her son and we had to go back to her dad's. Oh hell....he didn't like the fact I was coming back.

This began the physical abuse. For four days, we never fought and he didn't degrade me once and then out of the blue he was disciplining her son and then turned to me and told me while he was pushing me that if I didn't like it I could leave right now. Strike One.

Kisha had started working overnights and was sleeping when this occured. I told her what happened and she talked to her dad.

I had begun to take her son to the beach every day for 3 to 4 hours so he could play in the sand and because her dad ordered me to so he wouldn't have to deal with me. I was still having trouble finding a job.

Then one afternoon, he decided to degrade me and call me a piece of shit who was using his daughter and asked why I stuck around and I told him it was because someone needed to watch her son because he had told us from the beginning he was not a babysitter. He immediately got up and grabbed me by the throat and told me that if I ever talked back to him again he would kill me. Strike two.

After that incident things calmed down for a day or two mainly because her dad started spending a lot of time away.

Here was Kisha's schedule

Sleep all day.....spend an hour awake with her son.......go to work.....come home and go to bed.

It got so bad that her son started saying I was daddy and mommy.

March 22, 2011......Kisha had woken up and was spending a little time with us before going to work. Her dad started degrading me again and her son turned to him and said "Papa hates Daddy." Her dad flew off the handle and accused me of turning his grandson against him when he was the one degrading me in front of him. He stood up and push me from the living room all the way down the hall and Kisha NEVER ONCE STOPPED HIM!!!! That was it. I decided that I was leaving that night. I quietly packed up some stuff and was about to leave when her dad accused me of leaving so I could call the cops. He wasn't worth it. So I waited.

After Kisha had left, he asked me why I was still here. I told him that if he wanted me to leave then let me go and he said fine. I grabbed my stuff and left. He followed me out and told me that if I was leaving at least have the decency to tell Kisha who was on her way home because her job had been finished. I told him I will wait outside for her and continued walking.

(Side Note: A few days before I left, I sent my mother a message asking her that if she was still willing to help me come home if I needed to and she said yes.)

I was waiting outside when Kisha pulled up and didn't even see me and went upstairs. I kept praying she would come back down so I didn't have to go back up. She didn't. I decided that it wasn't worth it and left. She left the building to go to a party for the workers and she saw me outside and told me to rectify the situation with her dad TONIGHT. I didn't. It is the only time in my life that I spent the night sleeping on concrete.

I was waiting outside her dad's condo when she got home at 4am. She was drunk and walked right past me and went inside. I waited for an hour to see if she noticed I still wasn't there and try and find me and she didn't. So I officially left the building.

I walked across the street to a gas station and used the pay phone to call my house collect. My mom picked up and in tears I told her I wanted to come home. Over the next 3 to 4 hours I walked to an island where there was a walmart. My mom sent me a money order to get a suitcase and some food cause I hadn't eaten in probably 5 days. She set me up with a plane ticket to fly home and that's exactly what I did. I left Corpus Christi, TX and arrived in Kansas City, MO on March 23rd, 2011. That was my final straw.

Epilogue:

After I got back I had to pick up my life again. I got a job at a gas station working overnights and was planning a trip out to Nevada to see Sam for her birthday. I am now engaged to the most wonderful woman in the world and we are preparing for our wedding and our new addition that will arrive near the end of September or early October.

I hope you have enjoyed Descent Into Hell.....until next time.

Descent Into Hell: The Second Circle of Hell

Disclaimer: To the readers of this story, in this part there will be a lot of truths that I have never told to anyone because I wasn't ready to.

I know I said we'd jump ahead and we will but there are a few facts I need to address first(this will probably be the longest of the parts)

Here's a semi-brief synopsis of everything leading up to January 5, 2011

After Kisha kept staying overnight at my apartment, the housing authority had finally had enough and evicted me. So now we were searching for a new place to live and we found one. The problem was we had little to no money to afford a house so I made the decision to take a title loan out on my car so we could afford the rent and deposit on a house we saw.

After living in the house for a couple of months, having not paid a lot of the rent because I was the only one working and I couldn't afford it on a waiter's salary and tips....Kisha started going down to Sedalia on the weekends and spending time with her daughter. The house was an absolute mess because Kisha never cleaned nor did she ever unpack or move any furniture that had been brought in. The landlord and some other dude came down to the house and took a lot of pictures that they were going to send CPS but ended up not because Kisha lied to them about it.

Shortly after that, we were evicted again. After going to court, it was decided that the landlords would get the house back and we didn't owe any back rent. So we moved to Sedalia. I started working at Denny's right before the State Fair which is the busiest time of the year. For a month we stayed at a friend of hers house who saw the way Kisha was treating me and how she was having me always watch her son. For my birthday Kisha got me a prepaid cell phone. One afternoon I was on my MSN Messenger and I noticed my ex and former best friend was online. The problem was that Kisha was sitting right next to me looking over my shoulder so I acted like I didn't know who it was. My ex jumped my ass(and she had every right too) about my not seeing my daughter. I stopped messaging her because I got very defensive and my guards went up. I knew that what I had done to my daughter was wrong and that I was a bad father. It was then that I thought that everyone would be happier if I was gone. I contemplated suicide. There was alcohol in the house and Kisha was on Extra Strength Vicodin for a toothache. It would have been easy but I couldn't do it. I had been at that point before and I didn't want to do it again. Then I started thinking that if I cheated on Kisha and she found out she would break up with me and I could go home. There were a couple of occasions when I could've but I didn't because of a promise I had made. I cheated on my ex and I hated myself for it. I promised her that I would never cheat on her again and I didn't. After we broke up I promised myself that I would never cheat on another woman as long as I live and I haven't. I had broken so many promises in my life so I wanted to keep these two so no matter how much I wanted to I just couldn't. So I stayed. We found a really shitty apartment with an alcoholic slumlord.

After a couple of months of barely making it by because Kisha had stopped working and at this point started treating me like her own personal babysitter for her son so she could go and do whatever she wanted. I work the overnight shift at Denny's and got off work around 7am. I would walk home because my car had been repoed because I couldn't afford the title loan anymore. When I got home I would go to bed and get woken up at about nine so that I would get up with her son and she could sleep longer......(WTF!!!!!!) Needless to say, we were evicted............again. The plus side to this was MY name was never on the lease mainly because there WAS NEVER A LEASE!

So we moved into her mom's house where she would berate Kisha every day about how bad of a mother she was. Her house would be spotless but it was still dirty. Kisha also continued to treat me like her own personal babysitter.

Now we move to January 5, 2011. Kisha had bought a car and the next day we were leaving to move to Corpus Christi, Texas. We were going to stay with her dad for a couple weeks before we found a place of our own. That night we were having a going away party at a local bar. Before we left we had dinner at her mom's. Kisha and her mom got into it and it was the worse one I had ever heard. Her mom ordered me to go into the kitchen and clean up after dinner. As soon as I got up, Kisha told me not to. Her mom said something and I had had enough and I went off on her about the way she was treating Kisha and treating me like a slave. She didn't like that too much and kicked me out of the house.

We get to the going away party when out of the blue, my parents show up. Surprised the hell out of me. They sat at another table away from us and i started singing. They were getting ready to leave and my mom came up to me and gave me a twenty dollar bill and wished me the best of luck(inside joke). She asked for a hug and I really wanna to give her one. i wanted to give her the biggest hug and ask her to keep me from going to texas but I was too far lost at that point that I was more afraid of Kisha seeing us and me never hearing the end of it that I didn't and my mom left pissed and I can't apologize enough for that.

The rest of the evening went ok. I couldn't stop thinking about my mom and what I couldn't do. That night I was able to sleep at her mom's for the final night and we left the next morning for Texas

Stay tuned for the conclusion of this story.

Descent Into Hell: The First Circle

First off, to all the readers of the series, my profound apologies for the delay in this next part. A lot of hectic stuff has been going on but that is for a blog at a later time.

In the last part, Kisha was hurt in a muddin' accident. Let's jump ahead about a month. Kisha has begun to visit my apartment a few times a week. One weekend when I had my daughter with me at the apartment while Kisha was there. Kisha voiced that she didn't like Alayna because she didn't think she was cute(which is a fucking lie. My daughter is sooooo adorable. She must get it from my side of the family....just kidding Jessi). She also didn't think Alayna was mine which once again is a lie. I hate to admit this but as much as I want to lay complete blame on Kisha for me not seeing my daughter, it was my choice and I have regretted it every day since. So because Kisha didn't like her, I didn't want Alayna around her because I didn't want to constantly hear the things Kisha was saying.

Now, viewing my life as a whole, I do not have a gambling problem at all. I know when to quit....most of the time. This was NOT apparant while with Kisha. There was one night where I lost a lot of money and ended up overdrawing my bank account. I needed help and so I asked my mother if she could help get me out of the hole and she agreed but made me promise that every one of my paychecks and tips(cause I was a waiter) would go to her so that she could help me get track of my money and I was ok with that.

When i got back to the apartment I told Kisha was I did and she flew off the handle about how I should've talked to her about this because if we were going to be a family it was a family decision.....DO WHAT?! At this point I haven't proposed to her yet so the family thing flew me for a loop. She told me that the only way I could fix this was to call my mother and tell her that I changed my mind. I had already started to lose myself at this point because I called my mom and told her that. I wish I wouldn't have. I told her and my dad that I needed to fail on my own and that if they continued to help me I would never learn to be on my own. It was then that my mom informed me that htey wouldn't help me anymore nor would they accept Kisha as a part of my life. I should've listened to them.

This was only the first circle. Most of the circles don't happen until right before the move to Texas back in January of 2011. We will continue our story tomorrow jumping forward to January 5th, 2011....

Descent Into Hell Part 5: Muddin'

So after the night where I acted as a bodyguard I headed home and Kisha and I once again continued our text and calling friendship because of mine and her work schedules.

After a couple of weeks, Kisha claimed that she had talked to Jeremy and things had worked out where he was going to leave her alone.

He let me know that a good friend of her's brother has just lost his battle with cancer. There was a celebration of life at a bar up the street from her apartment and she hoped I could come down there cause she said she really could use a friend. I agreed. BAD IDEA!!!!

So i went down to sedalia and met kisha at her house and we walked over to coach's and there we saw a bunch of people who knew her friend. She introduced me and then low and behold Jeremy walks in. He walks over to kisha and offers her a hug......mind you after the last time i saw him i was a little weary of him. she hugged him back and invited him over to her place afterwards to hang out....WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is decided that we are going to go out to the lake and have a bonfire and drink some. Jeremy offered to drive and against my better judgement, we get in his car. I wanted to take my own car so that if it ends up being uncomfortable then I could leave.
While driving, Jeremy is constantly making fun of Kisha and I for wearing our seatbelts.(This will come to bite him in the ass later in this part). He pulls the truck over and looks at us and tells us to get ready to get the shit scared out of us. With that statement he pulls the truck into a field and begins to go "Mudding." The only problem with that is there was NO MUD!!!!!!
After several minutes of Kisha and I shouting at him to stop and slow down, the truck finally gives up and flips onto the driver's side. So while I'm hanging in the air, Jeremy is complaining about his arm hurting. We roll down my window and Jeremy climbs over all of us to get out of the car and by looking at his arm I can tell that it's broken. He calls the cops and Kisha and I wait in the truck. She undos her seatbelt and climbs in the back. I unclick my seatbelt and just stand there and Jeremy comes back and tries to get Kisha to tell the cops that she was driving and I looked right at Jeremy and said Hell no. I told him that it was his mess and his responsibility and it will be his job to tell the truth cause if he doesn't then i will.
The cops and EMTs show up and break the back window to let us out. I am perfectly fine, no scratches or scrapes....nothing. I was lucky. Kisha was not. She had to be life flighted to MU hospital in Columbia and I told the officer that as soon as I got to my car I was driving down there and I would probably be speeding and he said ok.
I get to Columbia and it turns out all she has a concussion and a fractured wrist. I took her home and made sure she was ok before heading home.

Descent Into Hell Part 4: The Bodyguard

Now anybody that knows me knows how much I LOVE Karaoke and so it was a given that I would go with Kisha. I had never heard her sing but the desire to do so had intrigued me. Now mind you, we have been on two dates with one of them happening while she was with someone else, but we had never made it official of being a couple.

Up to this point, she had had a few issues with her ex. I didn't think he was going to be a big deal but that all changed one night.

I went down to Sedalia for the night one afternoon after I got off work to go with Kisha to karaoke at a local bar. When we got there the evening started out great. I got up and sang a couple songs and everyone loved it and was enjoying themselves. I was over shooting a game of pool when all of a sudden Kisha's ex walks in. He immediately walks over to Kisha and starts getting in her face about getting back with him. I see that there are a couple of friends with him but also there some friends of Kisha's getting back up in his face. He finally backs off mouthing that he was going to start a fight with the guys that backed Kisha up including me.

Needless to say we stayed til the bar closed and her ex didn't come back. We stayed until the place closed and someone ran inside and said that Jeremy(Kisha's ex) was outside pacing waiting for everyone to come out. The owner is standing next to Kisha and asks me to make sure Jeremy doesn't get to her. I said I would and we left.

As soon as we make it outside Jeremy spots us and starts walking towards us. The owner of the bar comes out and yells at Jeremy to stay where he is and I'm able to get Kisha in the car and drive her back to her place.

While there, I wait until she's ready to go to sleep and after she lays down, I start to leave and she asks me to stay just in case Jeremy shows up there. So once again, I sleep there and of course Jeremy didn't show up.

That was the first confortation with Jeremy but it wouldn't be the last. Little did I know that in less than a week that my life would be in danger and Kisha's as well.

Descent Into Hell Part Three: Kidnapping

So, once again I traveled down to Sedalia to see Kisha and see the new car she got. I met her at JCPenneys right when you get into town and she showed me her new car. Then she told me to get in. I laughed and asked if she was kidnapping me and she said she was and once again told me to get in. So I did.

2 and a half hours later, we arrive in Osage Beach, MO. I had never been down there before so it was a new experience for me. I asked her why we were down there and she said it was because she wanted to play ten cent skeeball with me. We go down to the strip and go to the arcade and for a couple hours play skeeball, mini golf, and video games. We walk the strip and go into the other shops.

It's getting dark out and I knew I needed to get back to sedalia so I can head home after a fun-filled day. She invites me to dinner and we go to JB Hooks and it was some of the most wonderful food I have ever eaten. It was literally a fancy restaurant with cloth napkins and two different kinds of forks. It was delicious.

While we are in the bar area having a cigarette, her phone rings and she walks outside to talk on the phone. My first thought was that I felt a little awkward by myself in the bar. When she returned to the bar area I could tell she was upset. I asked her what was wrong and she said her ex just called her and was asking her where she was and who she was with. I told her not to worry about him and to try and enjoy the rest of the evening.

We head back to Sedalia and she asked if I would stay at her place that night just in case her ex tried anything. I agreed and she slept in the upstairs bedroom while I slept downstairs. The entire night we texted between two floors.

The next day we head to my car so i can head home and as I am leaving I decided to go for it and I kissed her. As I pull away she pulls me in again. I told her goodbye and I left.

We continue to text and call each other several times over the next couple of weeks when she asked me if I would come down to karaoke with her at a bar in Sedalia and I obliged. I never would've thought that it would be a night I'll never forget.

Descent Into Hell Part Two: First Date

So the day came where I traveled down to Sedalia, MO to meet Kisha for lunch to get to know her better. I knew she was with someone but at the time I figured that after my break up I could use a friend.

I picked her up at the apartment and went to a local Mexican restaurant and we just sat and talked for an hour and a half about her hobbies and interests. She said she was a former bull rider until she broke her back and had to retire. How she used to be a stripper in texas until she moved back to Missouri to help out her mom.

After lunch was over, she said she had to get ready to go to work and so I dropped her off at her place and she asked me if I would stop by the bar that night and I said I would. I went to Warrensburg to visit with some friends that I hadn't seen in a while. Later that night, I traveled back to the bar and literally sat at the bar all night drinking Mountain Dew and talking to her all night long.

Near the end of the night, her boyfriend walks in drunk as a skunk and proceeds to degrade her at the bar in front of her customers. I didn't say anything because I didn't really know her that well and anybody who knows me knows that I HATE confortation. I didn't want to cause problems and so I didn't get involved. I left that night to head home not knowing exactly what came from our meeting and worrying about what would happen between her and her boyfriend.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and I received a text message from Kisha telling me that her boyfriend and her had broken up. She also told me that she had bought a new car and that I should come down to Sedalia and see it and so once again I planned a trip and it would be a trip that would change the entire friendship between the two of us.

Descent Into Hell Part One: Backstory

Ever since I can remember I have always had a problem with the opposite sex. It is probably because I consider myself a geek or a nerd. I enjoy watching professional wrestling. I like playing Dungeons and Dragons and I enjoy hitting people with a PVC Pipe that's been wrapped in Blue Camp Foam or a Pool Noodle. Face It....I'm a Geek! I never thought that I would go through the same experience twice in my life but I did.

My freshman year of college I dated a girl who treated me literally like shit. She destroyed my self-esteem, my self-conscious, and my self-respect. I have never been the same since that year.

Fast forward 4 years and I am with the woman who would help me rediscover myself the most. I had slowly started becoming my old self but it wasn't until I became friends with her that the self-reconcilation picked up the pace. I met her while at battle club at the newly named UCM(the whole hitting people with a PVC Pipe thing) and we became friends. It wasn't until she broke up with her boyfriend at the time that we started thinking more about being together.

Throught the entire 15 months of our relationship, she helped me work through my problems and helped me become a better person. She also is the mother of my only child(as of this posting). Even though we had a falling out we are currently working on becoming friends again and I am under the opinion that we are succeeding.

The whole basis of my second Descent into Hell(as I call it) began the weekend before my best friend and i broke up and ended our engagement. She was still living down south while I had move back up to Excelsior to try and find a job. We met for a weekend literally in the middle to celebrate a couple friend's of ours daughter's first birthday.

The first night we are there, it is determined that we are having a guys night out. We head to a local pool hall to shoot some pool and it's there that we learn that our friend Hurricane was doing a karaoke show at a bar in town and so we head there.

Once we get there that is when I first met Kisha. She was tending bar behind the counter and throughout the night we made idle chit chat. Then one of friends got her phone number and I got it from him and left. Didn't think anything about it.

Needless to say, unfortunately, 4 days later, the relationship ended and I was crushed. So, and now I see it was a huge mistake, I started texting Kisha and there were times that I was on the phone with her for two or three hours. We were becoming great friends. She asked me to come back down to Sedalia and meet her for lunch one day and I told her I would. I was excited that this girl who was hot(mind you not hotter than my fiancee Sam nor hotter than my daughter's mother) but she was hot and I couldn't figure out what she wanted with a geek like me. So I started making plans for a day trip to Warrensburg and Sedalia to see some friends and meet Kisha for Lunch.

Stay tuned for Part Two: First Date
